In a stunning political revelation, senior BJP leader Rohan Gupta has declared that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s days in power are numbered. Dismissing her repeated attempts to play the victim card, Gupta asserted that such tactics will no longer sway public opinion or political discourse.

Speaking at a press conference in Kolkata, Gupta lambasted Banerjee’s governance over the past decade, highlighting rampant corruption, lawlessness, and economic stagnation under her Trinamool Congress (TMC) regime. ‘The people of Bengal have suffered enough. Mamata Banerjee’s emotional appeals and blame games cannot hide the reality of Sandeshkhali atrocities, post-poll violence, and the state’s crumbling infrastructure,’ he stated emphatically.

Gupta pointed to recent electoral setbacks for TMC, including losses in key bypolls and growing internal dissent within the party. He predicted a decisive mandate for BJP in the 2026 assembly elections, paving the way for Banerjee’s unceremonious exit. ‘Her farewell is inevitable. Bengal deserves accountable leadership, not drama,’ he added.

The comments come amid escalating political tensions, with BJP intensifying its campaign against TMC’s alleged misrule. Opposition parties have rallied behind Gupta’s narrative, signaling a potential shift in Bengal’s volatile political landscape. As Banerjee scrambles to consolidate her base, Gupta’s bold proclamation has ignited fresh debates on her leadership viability.
