Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai launched 51 Mahtari Sadans across Chhattisgarh, beginning from Kareli Badi village in the Magarlod development block of Dhamtari district. CM Sai underscored the significance of the Mahtari Sadan Yojana, which was introduced during the Navratri festival, as a pivotal step towards the progress of the state’s women.

He highlighted the government’s commitment to constructing Mahtari Sadans to establish communal spaces in villages, enabling women to come together and work collectively in a supportive environment. This initiative has now reached fruition.

Among those present were Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Vijay Sharma, Revenue Minister Tankram Verma, Lok Sabha MP Roop Kumari Chaudhary, along with other dignitaries. The Chief Minister presented the Mahtari Sadan transfer certificate to the women’s group members of Aastha Mahila Sankul Sangathan Kareli Badi. He also planted a Maulsree tree sapling.

The Chief Minister stated that the Mahtari Sadan represents a new center for empowerment, respect, and self-reliance for women. These Sadans will provide access to education, skill development, and entrepreneurial opportunities. He also announced that economic activities would be fostered by integrating women’s self-help groups into these centers. The Mahtari Sadans will offer various programs including sewing, embroidery, handicrafts, agricultural training, and digital literacy, tailored for women.
