Legal proceedings have commenced against Tejashwi Yadav, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, in Maharashtra following the filing of an FIR. The complaint centers on an allegedly offensive post made by Yadav concerning Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Milind Narote, a BJP MLA from Gadchiroli, filed the complaint which resulted in the registration of the FIR at the Gadchiroli police station. The contentious post, according to the complaint, contained objectionable content directed at PM Modi before his visit to Gaya. The post is said to have accused the Prime Minister of dishonesty and making unsubstantiated promises. One specific post shared a song that mocked the Prime Minister. Narote claimed that the content was intended to create disturbance. The FIR cites violations of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including charges related to promoting discord, defamation, and actions causing public nuisance.
