Weather of MP: Heavy rain in MP in the next 48 hours, yellow alert for rain in 40 districts including Bhopal, Jabalpur

Naiduniya Representative, Bhopal: A new low pressure area has formed in the Bay of Bengal. The monsoon trough is also passing through Madhya Pradesh. According to meteorologists, due to the effect of these weather systems, rainfall activities are likely to increase in Madhya Pradesh from Tuesday.

On Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Indore received 10 mm rainfall, Naugaon received 9 mm rainfall, Seoni and Ratlam received 4 mm rainfall, Jabalpur, Khajuraho, Umiriya and Malajkhand received 2 mm rainfall and Guna received 1 mm rainfall. According to the information received from the Meteorological Centre, the monsoon trough is currently passing through Phalodi, Vanasthali, Shivpuri, Sidhi, Ranchi, West Bengal and reaching the Bay of Bengal.

A low pressure area has formed over the Bay of Bengal and West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh. A cyclone is also associated with it in the upper part of the air. A cyclone is also present in the upper part of the air over Gujarat and adjoining southern Rajasthan.

Former senior meteorologist of Meteorological Centre, Ajay Shukla said that due to the effect of weather systems formed at different places, moisture is coming from the Bay of Bengal as well as the Arabian Sea. Due to this, there is intermittent rainfall in different areas of the state.

The rain will continue

On the other hand, the low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal is expected to reach West Bengal and the adjoining Gangetic region in two days and turn into a very low pressure area and move towards Jharkhand. Due to its effect, rainfall activities may increase once again in the state. Before that, there is also a possibility of light to moderate rainfall continuing in the entire state.
