Navdunia representative, Vidisha. Some school children raised objectionable slogans during the Independence Day celebrations at the Lateri tehsil headquarters of the district. After the video of this went viral, BJP leaders submitted a memorandum to the city inspector. The police have also detained a student in this case.
Controversy in the program
BJP leader Sanjay Bhandari said that a program was organized on Independence Day in the district campus on Thursday. At the end of the program, some students were raising slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai, during which people and students of a particular religion raised objectionable slogans, due to which a situation of dispute arose at the venue itself.

A minor has been taken into custody in connection with objectionable slogans raised by some school children. Efforts are being made to arrest other people as well by registering a case on the complaint of the local people. – Ajay Mishra, SDOP
