Vegetable Price: Onion prices increased, bitter gourd and peas crossed Rs 100, retail tomatoes became cheaper

Prices of most vegetables are stable in Indore.

Naiduniya Representative, Indore: The way for onion export which was stuck due to the crisis in Bangladesh has opened again. The border has been opened for the trucks full of onions stuck at Petrapole border for the last three days. Trucks full of about 4,500 tonnes of onions were standing at the border. These were loaded with onions exported from Maharashtra and MP to Bangladesh. After this, the traders have heaved a sigh of relief.

Rise on Thursday

On Thursday, a sharp rise in onion prices was seen in the wholesale market. Local demand for onion has also started to improve. Onion sold at Rs 3200 in Super Upar. Golta has also crossed Rs 2800. The arrival of onion was about 40 thousand sacks.

Potato prices remain stable

There is stability in the price of potatoes. Only one or two lots were sold at the top of Rs 2400. The arrival of potatoes was about 5-6 thousand sacks. Traders are waiting for the purchase of Rakhi.

Garlic

The arrival of garlic was 7 thousand sacks but the price is soft as compared to last week. One or two lots of garlic are sold for up to Rs 2000 if they are of best quality. The remaining goods were sold for Rs 17000-19000 per quintal in the best quality category.
