A video of Friday night is going viral on social media, in which three dogs are fighting with each other in the Ganesh Mandap. Devotees were seen running here and there to save their lives out of fear.
Earlier also, stray dogs have bitten devotees many times in the Mahakal temple premises. The Municipal Corporation has launched many campaigns to drive them out and catch them, but no effect is visible.
There could have been a stampede
A large number of devotees are reaching Mahakal temple in the month of Sawan. In the video that is going viral on social media, dogs are fighting among themselves. Devotees standing nearby are running here and there in fear. This could have caused a stampede here.
Devotees stand in Ganesh Mandapam and have darshan
The latest example of the kind of facilities being provided to the devotees inside the temple by the Mahakaleshwar Temple Committee was seen on Friday night. Ganesh Mandapam has been set up inside the temple to have darshan of Jyotirlinga. Devotees have darshan of Lord Mahakal by standing in the Ganesh Mandapam.
Dogs entered the temple before Shayan Aarti
In such a situation, the terror of three stray dogs was seen in Ganesh Mandapam on Friday night. Here, at 10 o’clock in the night before Shayan Aarti, the dogs were seen fighting among themselves. All three dogs were biting each other. In such a situation, an atmosphere of panic was seen among the devotees.
Devotees ran away to save their lives
Devotees were seen running to save their lives. Thankfully, the dogs did not bite any devotee. It should be mentioned here that in the past, devotees have been bitten by these dogs many times in the temple premises itself. Seeing this terror of dogs inside the temple, it has also become clear how much the Mahakal Temple Committee is concerned about the safety of the devotees.
The responsibility of looking after the Mahakal temple lies with the temple committee. Apart from this, the temple committee also deputes private security agencies, temple committee employees and policemen. Despite this, the occurrence of such incidents is bringing shame to the temple.
