Navdunia News, Sehore: Three people died and five people were burnt due to lightning during a sudden storm and heavy rain in Ashta. After first aid, they were referred from Ashta Civil Hospital to Sehore. All the people were harvesting soybean in the field. This sudden incident spread panic in the entire village.

Assistance to the relatives of the deceased

As soon as the information was received, SDM Swati Upadhyay Mishra, Tehsildar Pankaj Pawaiya reached the spot. After the incident, the villagers took the injured to the hospital. Where the doctor declared three dead one after the other. SDM Swati Upadhyay also said that four lakh rupees will be given to the family of the deceased.

Lightning struck while harvesting soybeans

On Monday, eight farmers had gone to the fields to harvest soybean in village Kothari Kala. Then suddenly there was heavy rain with storm in the afternoon. During this, 8 people were injured due to lightning along with thunder, out of which three died. Five people were referred to Sehore due to serious injuries.

According to the information received from the police, Dinesh, 35 years old, Saloni Thakur, 28 years old, Seema Thakur died due to lightning. Raveena Bai, 30 years old, Lalita Bai, 45 years old, Gulab Singh, 60 years old, Savitri Bai, 45 years old, Arunabai, 40 years old, all residents of Kothari were injured. They were referred to Sehore after treatment.

There is a sad atmosphere in the entire village due to the sudden death caused by lightning. People are also in panic. MLA Gopal Singh Engineer, while paying tribute to the deceased, said that their families will be given Rs 4 lakh each as relief money. The injured will be treated free of cost in the government hospital.
