Vegetable trader kidnapped near Laxmiganj vegetable market. There was a dispute over Rs 45,000 for buying and selling tomatoes. Police reached the spot when the accused were beating them after the kidnapping.

Naiduniya Representative, Gwalior. Vegetable trader Ram Avtar Gurjar was kidnapped on Sunday night from near Laxmiganj vegetable market. The kidnapper was also his partner. Over a dispute of just Rs 45 thousand, he came in a car with three of his associates, beat up the vegetable businessman and took him away in the car. He was taken from Gwalior to Shivpuri and kept hostage on the ridge of the well. These people kept beating the businessman and by the time the police arrived, they ran away from there.

They reached Sirsaud police station in Shivpuri with Ram Avtaar and themselves said that they had caught him over a money dispute. Sirsaud police handed them over to Janakganj police station. Three accused have been caught, but one is absconding.

Ramavatar Gurjar, resident of Sikrawali village in Bhanwarpura, Gwalior, is a vegetable businessman. Rambharat Sharma, resident of Pahargarh, Morena, is his partner. Both of them bring vegetables together and sell them in Laxmiganj vegetable market. At night, Ramavatar along with his son had brought a truck full of cabbage from Sagar. Rambharat Sharma came near Laxmiganj vegetable market with his companions Surjeet Rawat, Aparwal Rawat and one other. They beat up Ramavatar, put him in the car and ran away from there.

Ramavatar’s son informed the police. As soon as the information was received, Janakganj police station was immediately alerted. These people ran towards Shivpuri Highway. Gwalior police also joined in. After reaching Sirsaud in Shivpuri, he was tied to the well’s well and then they were beating him. Then we saw the police car coming and then we ran away from here. When the accused felt that they were surrounded, they themselves reached Sirsaud police station to save themselves. After reaching here they said that they had brought him here by car due to a dispute over money. The police caught the accused. One accused had fled from the field itself. His search is on.

During interrogation, the accused told that they had purchased tomatoes worth Rs 1.5 lakh in collaboration with Ram Avtaar. Rambharat spent around Rs 45 thousand including the vehicle fare. Money was needed, so Rambharat came with his associates and kidnapped him.
