Tension increases in respected Sindhi Panchayat, after the decision board convener, secretary also resigns

The controversy that started with the selection of the president in Pujya Sindhi Panchayat, a major social organization of Sant Hirdaram Nagar (Bairagarh), is increasing. A few days ago, decision board convenor Raj Manwani had resigned from the post. Now Sindhi Panchayat Secretary Mohan Mirchandani has also left his post.

Hence the controversy deepened

It is noteworthy that Sindhi Panchayat President Sabu Rizwani had passed away last May. Since then, senior vice president Bharat Aswani was working as acting president. Recently, a proposal was presented in the general meeting to appoint Madhu Chandwani as President and Bharat Aswani as General Secretary, but the members did not approve it. After this, on Tuesday last, Madhu Chandwani, citing the general meeting, reached the office of the organization and took charge of the post of President. Calling it illegal, Aswani said that when I have not handed over the charge then how did Chandwani become the president. Decision Board Convenor Raj Manwani had also resigned expressing objection to Chandwani’s functioning.

Secretary Mohan Mirchandani, who has been serving in the respected Sindhi Panchayat for the last 30 years, has accused Madhu Chandwani of dictatorship. Mirchandani has said that Chandwani himself wants to become the president and place his favorite on the chair of the general secretary, which is not appropriate. We oppose this and that is why I have resigned from the post of Secretary. Meanwhile, Chandwani has termed the allegation as false and said that he has become the president only with the consent of the members.
