Naiduniya representative, Sihora (Sihora MP). On October 1, 2003, the posting of Collector SP was proposed in Sihora, but due to political obstruction, this could not happen. Recently, after the formation of many small districts in the state, the demand to make Sihora a district is gaining momentum.

Due to continuous publication of public sentiments by Naiduniya, people have got new enthusiasm and this campaign is now becoming a mass movement. Common people say that the BJP government is showing utter negligence in giving district status to Sihora, despite this, people pushed BJP candidates towards victory in all the four assembly constituencies of the proposed Sihora district, Majhauli, Bahoriband, Dhimarkheda and Sihora.

Sihora District: Voluntary organizations preparing for agitation

The opposition party candidates did win once each in Bahoriband, Majhauli and Dhimarkheda but they too failed to get Sihora the status of the proposed district headquarters. The BJP candidate won for the fifth time in Sihora by a huge margin of 43 thousand votes, after which people are looking towards MLA Santosh Barkade with hope. On the other hand, at the Panchayat level, public representatives are passing the proposal of the district and sending it to the Chief Minister, while the NGOs are also now in the mood of agitation.

MLA Santosh Barkade told Naiduniya that a concrete action plan has been prepared by me to get Sihora the status of a district, information of which is known to the Lakshya Sihora District Committee Officer. The action plan will be disclosed by me soon.
