Police gathering clues about dacoits with the help of dog squad.

The number of dacoits is said to be more than twenty. Everyone had covered their faces with masks. As soon as the information was received on Sunday morning, a large number of police forces reached the incident site. With the help of dog squad, efforts are being made to gather clues about the dacoits.
Police and local people said that around 3 o’clock in the night the dacoits reached the house of Raunak Jain, a cement and building material businessman living in Vrindavan Colony. The miscreants jumped inside the house and took the watchman hostage. After this they entered the house and beat up Raunak and his wife and snatched away the gold ornaments they were wearing.

Raunak got badly injured in this fight. He has got ten stitches. After this, the miscreants also reached the nearby houses and stole bikes from six houses and fled away. This incident has been captured in the CCTV cameras installed there, but the dacoits could not be identified because their faces were covered.

After committing the robbery, the miscreants fled towards Amravati State Highway via Dwali-Sarola road. When a bike ran out of petrol on the way, it was left on the way. Police have recovered that bike.
The dacoits seen in the CCTV footage are wearing watches etc. in their hands. Judging by his attire, he looks educated. Till Sunday afternoon no trace of the accused could be found. Station in-charge Gyanu Jaiswal says that teams have been dispatched. The dacoits will be arrested soon.

And a case has been registered under the sections of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
