Rewa: Additional collector of Mauganj district caught taking bribe of five thousand rupees

Naiduniya Representative Rewa. Lokayukta team Rewa, while taking action in Mauganj district, caught Mauganj district’s Additional Collector Ashok Kumar Ohri taking a bribe of Rs 5000. The said action was taken in the Additional Collector’s chamber.

Giving information about the case, Lokayukta SP Gopal Singh Dhakad said that Rs 20,000 was demanded by Additional Collector Ashok Kumar Ohri to decide the land division file in favor of complainant Ramnivas Tiwari, village Khujh, Tehsil Naigarhi, District Mauganj by the Revenue Court.

He had already taken Rs 10,000 in the first installment. When the complainant asked for some concession in the remaining Rs 10,000, he also gave a concession of Rs 5,000 to the complainant.

The remaining 5000 was caught by the Additional Collector taking bribe in his chamber late Wednesday afternoon. The above action was taken by a 12-member team including Deputy Superintendent of Police Praveen Singh Parihar and Inspector Ziaul Haq.

After registering a case against the Additional Collector under the Prevention of Corruption Act, he has been released on bail.
