Police raided the Balaji Hotel operator’s house late at night in connection with a case of kidnapping and threatening him over financial transactions. The accused arrested include a CA and a property broker. Police say that gangster Sudhakar will also be arrested soon.
Naiduniya representative, Ratlam. Police have registered a case against influential people of the city and gangsters in the case of kidnapping and threatening for illegal extortion. Police arrested six out of seven accused on Friday-Saturday night, while gangster Sudhakar Rao Maratha is being searched for.
SP Rahul Kumar Lodha told the media that complainant Jitendra Rathod, resident of New Road and operator of Hotel Balaji and Midway Treat, filed a report on September 6 that in the year 2014, he had borrowed money on hundi interest from the accused Chandu Shivana, resident of Shastri Nagar.
In return, Chandu has returned Rs 2 crore along with interest to Shivani till 2019. Even after this, he intimidated Shivani and got him to sign on a blank stamp and prepared a fake stamp of buying Hotel Balaji for Rs 6.96 crore by writing a cash transaction of Rs 1.67 crore. This case is going on in the civil court.
On 26th August, he was standing outside the house. During this time, accused Manoj Verma and his friend Patil came and said that Bas Sudhakar Rao Maratha has called you to Sunil Dubey’s house. When I refused, they forcibly dragged me into my car and took me to Sunil Dubey’s house.
Accused gangster Sudhakar Maratha, Sunil Dubey, CA Ravi Dafriya and property broker Chandu Shivani’s son Sunny Shivani were sitting there. Sudhakar abused them and said that the case going on against Chandu Shivani, Ravi Dafriya and Sunny Shivani should be withdrawn and Rs. 25 lakh should be sent for settlement. Otherwise, I will kill you.
I am giving you 15-20 days time, arrange for the money. After this, Sunil Dubey kept calling and asking for money. A case was registered against the accused at Station Road police station under sections 127 (2), 119 (1), 140 (3), 296, 351 (2), 3 (5) of the Indian Penal Code.
Six accused sent to jail
SP said that the accused property broker Chandu Shivani, Sunny Shivani, CA Ravi Dafaria, Sunil Dubey, Manoj Verma, Natwar alias Patil have been arrested. Sudhakar will also be arrested soon.
Station incharge Dinesh Bhojhak, SI Prem Singh Hatila, ASI Shiv Namdev, head constable Yogendra Singh Jadoun, Mahendra Fatrod, Hemant Parmar, Manish Yadav, Seema Yadav etc. were involved in arresting the accused.
On the other hand, the police presented the arrested accused in the court on Sunday. The court ordered to send all of them to jail in judicial custody. After this, they were sent to jail.
