President Draupadi Murmu bought Chanderi and Maheshwari sarees in Indore, paid through UPI

The President reached Mriganayani Emporium to promote handicrafts. On arrival in Indore, she discussed handicrafts with the artists. Governor, Chief Minister, Ministers and officials welcomed her.

Naiduniya Representative, Indore. President Draupadi Murmu reached Indore on a two-day visit. From the airport, the President’s convoy reached Mriganyani Emporium located on MG Road. Here, she met the artists and got information about handicrafts and handicrafts. The President also bought Chanderi and Maheshwari sarees at the Emporium.

He paid Rs 23800 for the sarees digitally through UPI. Artists honoured with Padmashri presented their art pieces to the President. The President praised the works of all the artists and said that there is a need to cherish and preserve our old culture and tradition.

Artists are contributing well to this. The four artists awarded with Padmashri presented the material made by them to the President. President Draupadi Murmu reached Indore on Wednesday evening at 4.50 pm on a two-day visit to Indore-Ujjain.

At Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport, Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, BJP state president VD Sharma, Union Minister of State Savitri Thakur, Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Water Resources Minister Tulsi Ram Silavat, former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava, Chief Secretary Veera Rana, Lieutenant General Gajendra Joshi, DGP Sudhir Saxena, MLAs and officials of administration and police welcomed him.

After stopping for about 40 minutes at Mriganayani Emporium, the President’s convoy reached the Residency via MG Road, Palasia and AB Road. The President will stay overnight at the Residency Kothi and during this time all the activities and decisions running from Delhi will be taken from the Residency itself.

President will go for Mahakal Darshan

On 19th September at 9 am, she will plant a sapling at Residency Kothi. After that the President will leave for Ujjain Mahakal Darshan. Here she will participate in the cleanliness ceremony from 10.20 am. The Bhoomipujan of Indore-Ujjain four lane road will also be done from here. After that the President will reach Mahakal Temple at 11.30 am for darshan and pujan. She will leave from here at 12.30 pm and leave for Indore. She will reach Indore at 1.10 pm. In the evening she will participate in the initiation ceremony of DAVV. At 4.30 pm the President will leave for Ranchi from Indore.

Saree liked by female employee

President Murmu requested the women employees there to choose a light coloured saree of their choice for her. Sarita Gavade chose a light pink coloured Maheshwari saree for her. Women employees Aruna Rapotu, Meena Chaurasia and Vandana Kothari informed the President about the sarees. The President bought Maheshwari sarees worth Rs 19152 and Chanderi sarees worth Rs 14962.
