Navdunia Representative, Bhopal, Bhopal Crime News: On Friday afternoon at around 1 o’clock, near the Kilandev Tower crossing of the Habibganj police station area of ββthe capital, two masked miscreants threatened 18-year-old Ahmed Raza, son of a marble businessman, riding a scooter and looted Rs 5.25 lakh kept in the scooter’s trunk. At the time of the incident, he was going home after withdrawing money from the bank.
As soon as the information about the robbery was received, senior officials along with MP Nagar and Habibganj police station reached the spot. After the incident, the police blocked the surrounding area, but no clue of the accused could be found. However, a suspect has been taken into custody and is being questioned, who was with the businessman’s son some time before the incident. The businessman has expressed suspicion of his involvement in the robbery.
Here, police officials say that investigation is going on in the case. The incident will be disclosed soon. Habibganj police station in-charge Ajay Soni said that Abdul Sattar, resident of Malviya Nagar, is a marble businessman. He has marble shops in Lalghati Kohefiza, Jinsi Jahangirabad and other places in the city. He also has a real estate business. His son Ahmed Raza has passed 12th.
Sent the check to the bank for cash
Ahmed Raza said that his father had issued a cheque of Rs 5.25 lakh in the morning and asked him to cash it in a private bank in MP Nagar. I had gone to the bank with my friend. He had an Aadhaar card, I did not have one. That is why he withdrew money from the bank and gave it to me. I kept the money in the scooter’s trunk and my friend left from there.
After some time when I reached near Keelandev Tower crossing, two miscreants pushed the bike from behind and made me fall and took out a knife and pointed it at me. They hit me with the butt of the knife and snatched the keys of the trunk and fled after looting Rs 5.25 lakh from me. People nearby saw the incident and informed Dial 100. First MP Nagar police reached, later Habibganj police also came. The accused were wearing masks on their faces.
The father said, I doubt my son’s friend
Marble businessman Abdul Sattar expressed doubt on his son’s friend and said that he always stays with him. For some days, his son was asking for a loan of 50 thousand rupees for him. I had told him to give it to him. Probably, he is the one who got the crime committed.
