Vijay Nagar police said that Shivcharan Pandey, a resident of Model Town, had a hectare of land in Raigwan in the name of his father Mahavir Pandey. After Mahavir’s death, Shivcharan’s name was registered in the documents. But on August 8, 2023, Shivcharan’s name was removed from the Khasra. Shivcharan complained to the administrative officials. Investigation revealed that Deepa Dubey, a computer operator posted at the Adhartal tehsil office, conspired with Tehsildar Hari Singh Dhurve and Patwari Jagendra Pipre. Deepa got the land registered in the name of her father Shyamnarayan, who was posted as a driver in the Collectorate, on the basis of Mahavir’s fake will. After Shyamnarayan’s death, an order was passed from the Tehsildar office on June 26, 2024 and the land was registered in the name of herself and her brothers Ravishankar and Ajay Choubey. Then she sold it to Harsh Patel, a resident of Karmata, and Amita Pathak, a resident of Vijay Nagar Ekta Nagar. In the matter, a case was filed against Tehsildar Dhurve, Patwari Pipre, computer operator Deepa, her brother Ravishankar, Ajay and the land buyers Harsh and Amita.
12 Crore Market Value
The current market value of the land for which the Tehsildar, Patwari Babu and Computer Operator put their jobs at risk by preparing fake documents is said to be around 12 crore rupees. A colony has been developed around this land where the land is being sold at Rs. 3000 per square feet. This land is 1.01 hectares.
Houses locked, phones switched off
After arresting the Tehsildar on Thursday night, the police raided the houses of the Patwari, computer operator and other accused, but all the houses were found locked. When the police tried to find out the tower location of their phones, they found that the phones were also switched off. The police claim that the accused had come to know about the FIR, so all of them absconded. However, police teams are busy in finding out from the people in their contact.
