Indore News: Naiduniya Representative, Indore. Yugpurush Dham Intellectual Development Center has submitted its reply to the administration in the case of death and illness of mentally challenged children. Even after the death of six children, the institution is not accepting it as its negligence and is calling it a seasonal disaster. After the reply of the institution, the administration will now decide the further action in a day or two.
However, after the institution flatly rejected the questions of the high level committee, a dilemma has arisen in front of the administration. The institution is not considering the entire incident as negligence, while many types of negligence were exposed in the investigation of the four member committee.
On July 5, a notice was issued and a reply was sought
In the case of the death of six children and illness of 90 children at the centre located in Panchkuiya area of Indore, the administration had issued a notice to the institution on July 5 and sought a reply. The high level investigation committee had decided the questions.
Secretary Tulsi Dhanraj Shadija has said in a four-page reply that the disaster occurred due to bad weather and the children died. It would not be appropriate to hold the president, secretary or director responsible for this, register an FIR against them or take any legal action.
The organization denied all the facts
Why was the number of deaths and the information about the death of the sixth child hidden?
Ashram’s reply: We were busy treating the children and could not inform the administration. The process of admitting the sick children to the hospital was completed.
The parents of the sixth child were informed about his death. Irregularities and negligence were committed?
Ashram’s reply: The organization has been working successfully for the past 21 years. Not a single incident has taken place in these years. No negligence has been committed intentionally. There is a clean kitchen, Aquaguard has been installed for water. All the living arrangements are available. No negligence has been committed.
Keeping more children than capacity?
Ashram’s reply: Children were being kept according to the capacity of the ashram. When necessary, some children are kept for training after approval.
Was there dirt in the institute premises and kitchen?
Ashram’s reply: Cleanliness is maintained in the entire premises. Even the kitchen, terrace and rooms are kept clean. However, this will be improved further in the future.
Were boys and girls being kept together?
Ashram’s reply: We have only one campus available, yet we keep boys and girls separately. Their entry and exit routes are also separate.
Children will be shifted to the ashram again
The orphanage Yugpurush Dham Buddhik Vikas Kendra has been renovated. Now soon mentally challenged children will be shifted here. Currently these children have been kept in Parmanand Ashram situated on Khandwa Road. Between 30 June and 2 July six children died and 90 children fell ill.
Living in the Satsang Hall of Parmanand Ashram
Here, the District Panchayat CEO has issued a show cause notice to the District Program Officer of the Women and Child Development Department, RN Budholia, regarding the negligence of the ashram. The mentally challenged children of Yugpurush Dham have been living in the Satsang Hall of Parmanand Ashram on Khandwa Road for the last 10 days. Since then, painting and other works were being done in the Yugpurush Ashram, which has now been completed.
Looking into the rules for changing the president and secretary of the ashram
According to the officers, the children will soon be shifted back to the ashram. According to departmental sources, rules are being looked into to change the president and secretary of Yugpurush Dham Intellectual Development Center.
Probably these officials will be changed before the children are shifted. Here the responsibility of conducting inspection in the ashram lies with the Women and Child Development Department. But during the inspection negligence was found in the ashram.
