Indore Jhanki 2024: A glimpse of religion, environment and development will be seen in the tableaus of Anant Chaturdashi in Indore

Highlights

In Indore, Hukum Chand Mill has been taking out tableaus for 101 years. Swadeshi Mill is in its 95th year and Malwa and Kalyan Mills are in their 90th year. Rajkumar Mill is in its 89th year and Hope Mill is in its 75th year.

Naiduniya representative, Indore. On Anant Chaturdashi on September 17, the entire city will stay awake all night. The procession of tableaux will start from Jail Road in the evening, but thousands of people will have already booked their places on shop shelves and rooftops to see it since afternoon.

The tradition of tableaux was started in 1923 by Seth Hukam Chand from Hukam Chand Mill, which continues even today. Hundreds of artists have been working continuously for the last 20 days for these tableaux. While these tableaux will be full of spirituality, a glimpse of modernity will also be seen. This time more than 30 tableaux will be taken out.

Hukam Chand Mill – 101st Year

The first tableau is based on Satyam-Shivam-Sundar. Temples have been built artistically in it.

Second tableau – based on Krishna Janmotsav. In this, Krishna Janmotsav is shown being celebrated in Nandbaba’s village.

Third tableau – based on the war between Lord Krishna and Indra. It will have Parijat tree, Indra on a huge elephant and Krishna on Garuda.

Malwa Mill – 90th Year

The first tableau is based on Sita Swayamvar. In this, Lord Shri Ram will be seen putting a garland on Mother Sita.

Second tableau – based on Krishna Leela. In this, childhood antics of Shri Krishna have been depicted.

Third tableau – based on goodwill. In this, the tricolor wheel will be seen rotating behind Bharat Mata.

Hope Textiles – 75th Year

First tableau – based on Ganeshji. In this, Mother Parvati is shown offering clothes to child Ganesh.

Second tableau – is based on Shiva Tandava. In this, the fierce form of Shiva is shown after Mother Sati burnt herself in the sacrificial fire.

Kalyan Mill – 95th Year

First tableau – killing of Raktabeej by Mata Kalka and worship of Mata Durga by the gods is shown.

Second tableau – The national theme is unity and integrity, giving the message of Hindu-Muslim unity. In the second part, Laadli sisters are shown swinging happily. There is a glimpse of Amrit Mahotsav.

Swadeshi Mill – 95th Year

First tableau – based on Hanumanji. In this, Ahiravan is killed and Lord Ram and Lakshman are freed.

The second tableau is based on mobile. The harmful effects of mobile are shown in it.

Third tableau – based on Kumbhakarna. In this Kumbhakarna, who slept continuously for six months, is shown being awakened.

Rajkumar Mill- 89th Year

The first tableau is based on Moti-Patlu. It has different cartoons of Moti-Patlu.

Second tableau – is based on the battle between Vasuki Nag and Garuda. In this, Vasuki Nag is shown being taken for churning of the ocean.

IDA – 27th year

First tableau – based on development. It will have startup park, swimming pool, ISBT, flyover etc.

Second tableau – based on Hanumanji. In this, 25 feet tall Hanumanji will be seen bringing Sanjivani herb.

Third tableau – based on Shri Krishna. In this he will be seen attacking Bhishma Pitamah.

Indore Municipal Corporation – 28th Year

First tableau – based on the birth anniversary of Ahilya Mata. Ahilya Mata will be seen giving darshan in a palanquin.

Second tableau – will be based on Abhimanyu. It will depict Surekha Haran.

Third tableau – will be based on cleanliness. It will have information about other schemes including ‘One Tree in the Name of Mother’.

Fourth tableau will be on digital topic. It will have information about online arrangements like apps, portals etc.

Khajrana Temple – 19th Year

The first tableau is based on Lord Ganesha. In this tableau, Lord Ganesha will be seen circling around his parents.

Second tableau – based on solar energy. It describes the solar energy scheme and its benefits.
