Naiduniya, Katni (Katni News). Four youths died due to leakage of poisonous gas in a well in Juhli village of NKJ in Katni, Madhya Pradesh. All four people had gone down into the well to repair the pump. They fell unconscious as soon as they went down. Due to the sudden fainting of the people accompanying him, the fifth person could not go inside and came out and reached the village. He also informed the people and the police. A team has been called from Umariya. The SDM along with the NKJ police reached the spot and all the four were taken out of the well. By then they had already died.
The officer said that all four people have been rescued. Juhli resident Sanjay Dubey has a farm in Nadan Haar between Juhli-Juhla village. On Thursday evening, Sanjay had gone there with his brother Ram Dubey, son Nikhil Dubey and two brothers from the same village, Jaggi Kushwaha and Pintu Kushwaha, to repair the motor of the farm well. All four went down the well one by one and fell unconscious after going inside.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Dubey was also descending into the well. He saw all four people falling down and halfway down he also had trouble breathing so he came out. After coming out he informed the people of the village about the incident. NKJ police was also informed.
NKJ police station in-charge Neeraj Dubey reached the spot with force and later SDM Pradeep Mishra and other officers also reached there on information. The youths had fallen unconscious due to leakage of poisonous gas.
Difficulty due to darkness and road
Sanjay Dubey’s fields are far away from the village and due to rain, the road to reach there was bad and there was a problem. To prevent those going inside from facing any problem, people were evacuated by installing cylinders etc. Police and administrative officials evacuated the youths while arranging lighting at night.
SDM Mishra said that by the time they were able to take them out, they had already died. All the four people have been taken out. There has been a leakage of methane gas inside the well.
