Four people including three assistant engineers suspended in Rs 45 lakh scam in Shri Singaji Thermal Power Project

Naiduniya Representative, Jabalpur: The investigation of the scam of Rs 45 lakh material supply in Shri Singaji Thermal Power Project Dongalia (Khandwa) unit of MP Power Generating Company has been completed. On the basis of the committee’s report, the company has suspended 4 employees including these 3 engineers.

Four employees suspected in the scam

The investigation committee considered the role of Assistant Engineer Ramraj Patel working in Ban Sagar Hydroelectric Power Station (Devlond), Assistant Engineer (Production) Anuj Vishwakarma working in current charge thermal power plant Dongaliya, Assistant Engineer (Production) Arun Kumar Vishwakarma working in Singaji and security guard Mukesh Ghighode working in thermal power plant Singaji suspicious in the scam. The investigation committee has also recommended filing a criminal case against the four.

Scam in material worth Rs 45 lakh

It is noteworthy that Naiduniya had exposed this scam by publishing news on 28th July. Material worth Rs. 45 lakhs was purchased in the Shri Singaji Thermal Power Project of the power company. When the box of material was opened in front of the officials, scrap was found in it.

confusion in material purchase

Taking the matter seriously, the company formed a four-member committee and ordered an investigation. The investigation team that reached Khandwa from the company headquarters in Jabalpur seized documents and thoroughly investigated the material purchase case. It was found that there was fraud in the material purchase.

Instead of material, scrap was filled in boxes and sent to Shri Singaji Thermal Power Project Dongalia. After this, in collusion, payment was also made to the contract company firm M/s Krishiv Power Birsinghpur which supplied the material.

Investigation against the contracting company too

The power company has also started an investigation against the contracting company. Apart from this, compliance of the orders given to the firm by Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company has been suspended with immediate effect. Managing Director of Power Generating Company Manjeet Singh said that strict action will be taken against the engineers, employees, suppliers and contractors who cause damage to the company.
