Four children died of diarrhea in Panna, more than 20 admitted to hospital

On Tuesday, seven year old Akhilesh, son of Shambhudin Adivasi, died due to vomiting and diarrhea in the tribal colony of Patori. The news of the sudden death of four children spread throughout the Powai area. After this, the health department staff started examining the citizens in the tribal locality of the concerned village. During the investigation, more than twenty people were found suffering from vomiting and diarrhea, who were admitted to the community health center of Powai and treated.

Samples have been taken and sent for testing

Health staff took samples: After the death of four children, the BMO came into action and reached the tribal locality of Patori with his team. The team took samples of water and food items to know the exact reason behind the sudden death of the children. The samples have been taken and sent for testing.

108 ambulance did not arrive despite calls

Munni Lal, father of one of the children and villager Shyam Sundar Patel have alleged that despite calling 108 ambulance, it did not reach the spot, due to which the children could not get timely treatment and they died. He said that the 108 ambulance has been broken down in the health center for 20 days. People of the area are not getting timely treatment.

Children have died due to eating contaminated food. The health staff has taken samples of food and water and sent them to the lab for testing. It is believed that one child died due to eating fish from a contaminated pond. The reasons will become more clear after investigation. 20 people suffering from vomiting and diarrhea are being treated in the hospital.
