Digvijay Singh gets angry when the officer does not reach Nanakhedi Mandi.
HighLights
Digvijay Singh talked to the farmers and learned about their problems. Officials were asked to provide details of fertilizer distribution. Digvijay said, black marketing of fertilizers is happening under BJP rule.
Navdunia Representative, Guna. Former Chief Minister of the state and Rajya Sabha member Digvijay Singh reached the fertilizer distribution center located at Nanakhedi Galla Mandi on Saturday morning. Here he discussed with the farmers and got to know about the fertilizer distribution system. But meanwhile they became angry when the DMO did not arrive. He said that you should not take us lightly. I’m coming, so you should know. It is not your responsibility that your DMO should come here.
Actually, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh had reached Guna late on Friday night. After meeting the workers at Circuit House on Saturday morning, he went to inspect the double lock distribution center of Galla Mandi fertilizer located in Nanakhedi. Here he got information about the fertilizer distribution system of the administration and also talked to the farmers. But during this time only Ashok Upadhyay, Deputy Director of Agriculture Department, was present. Whereas the fertilizer distribution center in-charge and Co-operative Society deputy registrar were missing.
On this, Rajya Sabha member Singh asked who was DR, then the agriculture officer said that it is Jain Saheb. They are coming. When the former Chief Minister inquired about the distribution center in-charge, it came to light that he too had not come. Rajya Sabha member Digvijay Singh got angry on this matter. He folded his hands and said that please request the DR on our behalf that there is a meeting with the Collector at 11:30, so at least come there on time.
Tell us how much fertilizer was given to which farmer in a week.
After this incident, Digvijay listened to the problems of the farmers present in the market and informed the officials about the problems on the spot. Also asked the officials to provide information within a week as to how much fertilizer has been given to which farmer so far.
BJP government ended cooperative movement
In the same sequence, Rajya Sabha member Digvijay Singh also interacted with the media at the agricultural produce market office. He said that the BJP government has ended the cooperative movement. When I was the Chief Minister, 100 percent fertilizer distribution was done through committees. Neither did the farmers have to face police lathicharge nor they got fertilizer easily. Now only 40 percent fertilizer is being sent to the society. Those farmers who are due in the committees, should be given fertilizer from their account. But they are also being given fertilizer in cash, this is illegal. Former Chief Minister Singh said that private vendors are also providing nano urea and other items to the farmers along with fertilizers. Whereas in the year 2022 itself, the Agriculture Ministry has declared it wrong. The Agriculture Department had given clear instructions that no other thing should be given along with fertilizer but private sellers are doing so. Due to this, the cost to farmers is increasing with the cost of fertilizer costing Rs 1,200 to Rs 2,000.
The government reduces the quota of other places and sends it to the constituencies.
On the question of excess supply of fertilizer in Budhni and Sheopur, Rajya Sabha member Digvijay Singh said that it is obvious that there are elections there. Wherever elections are held, the state government reduces the quota of fertilizer from other places and sends it there. There is complete politics going on. Apart from supplying the fertilizer as per demand, he has demanded from the Central Government to supply it to the warehouses in advance.
