State Bureau, Naiduniya, Bhopal: More than four lakh pensioners of the state will get dearness relief at the rate of 50 percent from October 2024. The state government has agreed to the proposal of Chhattisgarh government. Dearness relief for pensioners receiving sixth pay scale will be 239 percent. On the other hand, the arrears of dearness allowance from January to October 2024 will be given to the employees in four installments. The Finance Department has issued its orders.

Departmental officials said that the Chhattisgarh government had sought consent by deciding to increase the dearness relief of pensioners from 46 to 50 percent from October. The state government has written a letter to the Finance Department agreeing.

Dearness relief to pensioners

Ganesh Dutt Joshi, patron of Pensioner Welfare Association, says that like every time, this time also the pensioners have been treated with second class. Employees will be given arrears of dearness allowance from January to October 2024, but pensioners will be given increased October dearness relief. There is repeated talk of agreement between the two states, but there is no provision for it.

Benefit of dearness allowance will be given from November salary

Instructions have been given to give the benefit of increased dearness allowance to the employees from the salary of October, but due to Diwali, most of the employees were paid on 28th October itself, hence the benefit of increased dearness allowance will be given from the salary of November, which will be given in December. Will receive.

The arrears will be paid in four equal installments in December 2024, January, February and March 2025. The amount of arrears will be paid in lump sum to the nominated member of the employees who died between January to September 2024.
