A training session on the subject of negotiation and conflict management was organized on Thursday under the ongoing foundation course for deputy collectors at RCVP Naronha Academy. More than 30 deputy collectors participating in this training session were addressed by Naveen Krishna Rai, Senior Manager of IIM Indore.

This session was a part of their basic training program. The aim of this training session was to make the participants familiar with the subjects and principles related to management. In this session, the participants were told about negotiation and conflict management through various types of psychology and management principles and models. Addressing the participants, Rai said that people do not always behave logically and they have prejudices.

He told the participants about the different styles, stages and strategies of negotiation. He said that while preparing for any negotiation, a person should think and understand what is his second best option in case the negotiation fails and he should not accept any proposal less than that option.
