In particular, good governance has been affected due to the closure of collector visits in villages, hence now it is being made mandatory for every collector to stay overnight in the village.
Collectors have also stopped the tradition of inspection of Tehsil and District Panchayat offices, it is being started again. Now all collectors will have to send advance tour diary to the Chief Secretary every month. In this they will have to tell for how many days they will visit the district.
