Gujarat ATS and Narcotics Control Bureau took action in village Bagroda of Katara Hills police station area industrial area of the capital and recovered drugs worth more than Rs 1800 crore. Narcotics Control Bureau along with ATS Gujarat had raided the closed factory. A huge quantity of hyperstimulating drug MD drugs has been recovered from here. Two people from Bhopal and Nashik have also been arrested in this case.
The special thing is that the entire team of IPS officers of the Police Commissioner of Madhya Pradesh Police was not aware of this huge drug smuggling. Here, the factory owner had given this factory on rent to a vicious drug smuggler from Gujarat without police verification, he was installing machines in the factory and sending MD drugs to Mumbai, Gujarat, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Nepal.
DCP Sanjay Aggarwal said that full action has been taken by Gujarat ATS, the factory owner AK Singh had given this factory on rent to two people seven months ago. This drug was being made after closing the factory.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjay Aggarwal said that narcotics were being manufactured in the factory of village Bagroda industrial area. It was allotted to Jaideep Singh factory for furniture and wood work, after that he sold this land to someone else.
Factory given on rent without police verification
Police investigation has so far revealed that AK Singh had taken this land on rent to Sanyal Bane, resident of Nashik Maharashtra, through Amit Chaturvedi, resident of Kotra Sultanabad. The factory owner did not even get police verification done before giving it on rent and Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Authority did not give any information.
No one even from the industry went to see for four years
Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Authority has only this much information about this factory that this land was allotted in the name of furniture making, whether a factory was established after that or not. It made no sense to him, no official of Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Authority had gone there for four years. Taking advantage of this, drugs were being manufactured easily by setting up such a big drug factory in this factory outside the city.
Police had given up patrolling due to fear of inspector’s factory
An inspector posted at Katara Hills police station in Bagreda had a factory, due to which the Katara Hills police station had stopped going in that direction. In a way the police station said that the police had closed their eyes, what is happening in that factory? This made no sense.
Although a local person had given information about this to an ASP rank officer of the Police Commissionerate, no attention was paid to it. When Sanyal Bane’s fellow drug smuggler was arrested in Surat, he told this to the ATS. It was for this reason that ATS Gujarat did not share the information about this operation with Bhopal Police.
Why did you choose Bhopal?
Sanyal Bane, a resident of Nashik, Gujarat, had asked to search for a closed factory through Amit Chaturvedi of Bhopal for setting up a drug factory. He searched for the closed factory in Bagroda and informed him about it. The only reason behind setting up this factory was that this factory was outside the city and goods were being supplied from outside.
Materials for making MD drugs could also be procured easily. There was not much police restriction on this route. Secondly, even when the police stopped him, he had a lot of local helpers, who knew everyone from the constable to the inspector.
