Bhopal-Kanpur corridor will be upgraded to four lanes. Business activities will accelerate, local economy will be strengthened. Rs 592 crore approved for Mandla-Nainpur route.
State Bureau, Naiduniya, Bhopal. Bhopal-Kanpur Economic Corridor will be upgraded to four lanes. In this, approval of Rs 3,589 crore has been given for Bhopal to Vidisha, Vidisha to Gyaraspur, Sataighat to Chowka and Chowka to Kaimah packages.
With the construction of this corridor, the distance from Bhopal to Kanpur will be covered in seven hours. Connectivity with Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi including Kanpur of Uttar Pradesh will be good. Business activities will accelerate and the local economy will be strengthened.
Along with the corridor, Rs 592 crore has also been approved for the Mandla-Nainpur route. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has posted this information on Facebook. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari for this achievement of the state.
Government had announced Bundelkhand development path
The state government, under its resolution, had announced the Bundelkhand Vikas Path, an important four-lane road project connecting the state capital Bhopal with Sagar and Chhatarpur districts of Bundelkhand. The objective of this project is to improve road connectivity from Bhopal to Chhatarpur and Uttar Pradesh border via Sagar.
The economic development of the area will be strengthened
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has given permission to upgrade the route from Bhopal to Sagar and Chhatarpur to Uttar Pradesh border to four-lane. With this approval, the construction of Bundelkhand Vikas Path will be expedited. This path will not only help in improving connectivity but will also promote regional economic development and trade activities. This will boost employment as well as regional economic activities. Rs 592 crore has also been approved to upgrade the 46 km long route from Mandla to Nainpur.
