2.80 lakh rupees looted from a bike rider by hitting him on the head with a hammer, two accused fled after committing the crime

Naiduniya representative, Seoni. A person who was returning home on a bike with a relative after withdrawing money from the bank was hit on the head with a hammer and robbed of Rs 2.80 lakh in cash. The incident took place near Pindari village of Barghat on Thursday afternoon at around 4 o’clock. Efforts are being made to find the unknown miscreants on the bike who fled from the spot after the incident. Police say that efforts are being made to trace the unknown accused.

According to the information, on September 5, at around 3.45 pm, Veer Singh Gautam, a resident of Gorakhpur village, along with his another relative Bhupendra Gautam, had gone to the Barghat State Bank branch to withdraw money. He was returning home on a bike with Rs 2.80 lakh in cash.

While chasing Veer Singh Gautam’s bike, two unknown bike riders pushed him down near Pindari village. After that, one of the two miscreants with a cloth tied around his mouth attacked Veer Singh’s head with a hammer and injured him. The miscreants fled from the spot with the bike and the bag full of money. The injured Veer Singh Gautam has been admitted to Barghat Hospital. He is undergoing treatment.

The miscreants are being searched for

Barghat police station in-charge Mohnish Singh Bais said that blockades are being put in place to trace the unknown robbers. The injured has suffered a minor head injury and is undergoing treatment. Police is investigating the matter.
