15 crores stolen from Bhopal’s state museum on the lines of Dhoom movie

Bhopal. A case of theft on the lines of the popular film Dhoom has come to light in the State Museum located at Shyamala Hills. On Sunday, a cunning person hid under the stairs after entering the museum with a proper ticket. On Monday, as the museum was closed, he collected the valuables and kept them in a bag, but while trying to jump over a 25 feet high wall to get out, he fell down. When the museum opened on Tuesday, he was found injured lying near the wall. The accused is 49-year-old Vinod Yadav, who is a resident of village Ahima, police station Fatehpur, tehsil Baijda, district Gaya (Bihar). Items worth about 15 crores have been recovered from the bag found with him.

DCP, Zone-3 Riyaz Iqbal said that on Tuesday morning, Shyamala Hills police station reached the museum on the information of theft. During the investigation, the police was searching the museum, when a person was found injured near a high wall. He had serious injuries on his legs. The bag found with him was searched. Gold-silver jewellery, coins and other material stolen from the state museum were found in it. Whose value has been estimated to be 12 to 15 crores. He had also brought lock-breaking tools with him. He has been admitted to the hospital due to serious injuries. An SIT has been formed to investigate this case. Which is investigating the involvement of anyone else in the incident. A police team has been sent to investigate the house of accused Vinod.
