New Delhi witnessed a wave of celebrations on Jan Aushadhi Day, dedicated to raising awareness about generic medicines across India. Prominent leaders, including Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, extended their greetings, hailing the initiative as a boon for the underprivileged.

Nitin Gadkari took to social media platform X to highlight the Prime Minister’s Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana. ‘Ensuring good health for the poor at minimal cost, this flagship project under PM Narendra Modi provides medicines to the needy at 50-90% lower than market prices,’ he posted. Gadkari emphasized how the scheme not only offers affordable drugs but also generates employment nationwide, transforming lives in rural and urban areas alike.

Echoing similar sentiments, Yogi Adityanath praised the visionary leadership of PM Modi. ‘Through Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras, quality generic drugs are now easily accessible at low prices to the common man. This project has emerged as a reliable companion in times of crisis for the poor, forming the foundation of a healthy and strong India,’ he stated on X.

Pankaj Chaudhary, Union Minister of State and UP BJP president, underscored the scheme’s vast reach. ‘Guided by PM Modi, over 18,660 Jan Aushadhi centers offer affordable treatment to every citizen. With 2,110 quality medicines and 315 surgical items available, health is now a right and savings a gift for every household,’ he added.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also joined the chorus, wishing everyone on the occasion. ‘Jan Aushadhi Kendras are a divine gift from PM Modi, making treatment accessible to the poor at low costs and promoting a disease-free life,’ he posted.

Launched to make healthcare affordable, the Jan Aushadhi scheme continues to bridge the gap between quality medicine and economic constraints, proving instrumental in India’s public health revolution. As leaders unite in praise, the initiative stands as a testament to proactive governance aimed at empowering the masses.
