Four aspiring educators from Rajasthan demonstrated extraordinary commitment to their studies, chartering a helicopter to reach their examination center in Uttarakhand. The students were faced with impassable roads due to heavy rain and landslides. Undeterred, they decided to use an air service to arrive at their exam on time. The students, enrolled in a B.Ed. program through Uttarakhand Open University, needed to reach RS Tolia PG College in Munsiyari. The final semester examination was set for September 3rd. The four students – Omaram Choudhary, Magaram Choudhary, Prakash Choudhary, and Lucky Choudhary – hired a helicopter from Heritage Aviation after learning that roads were blocked. They highlighted that missing the exam would jeopardize their academic year. The company provided a helicopter and pilots to transport them to their destination. The students reached the college in Munsiyari by helicopter, completed their exam, and flew back to Haldwani. The journey usually takes ten hours by road; the helicopter trip took approximately 30 minutes. The students paid around Rs 5,200 for a one-way journey, and Rs 10,400 for the round trip. They expressed that it was a thrilling and meaningful experience. The group is working as third-grade teachers.
