A security guard has been arrested by Kolkata police in the gang-rape case involving a law student. The arrest was made on Saturday and is the fourth in this case.
The law student, aged 24 and a resident of South 24 Parganas, reported that she was assaulted by multiple individuals in the guard room of the college. She also mentioned to the police that she had been offered a key post in the student union before the alleged rape took place.
The Kolkata police announced, “Pinaki Banerjee (55), the guard of the Law College, has also been arrested in the case.”
