New Delhi, March 2 – BJP MP Yogendra Chandoliya launched a scathing attack on AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, declaring that the former Delhi Chief Minister’s political relevance has evaporated both nationally and in the capital. Responding to Kejriwal’s recent claims of BJP’s downfall, Chandoliya turned the tables, asserting that it is Kejriwal who has witnessed his own decline.
Chandoliya highlighted BJP’s robust governance across multiple states, where the party continues to roll out transformative welfare schemes benefiting millions. ‘Look at the recent elections,’ he said. ‘BJP staged comebacks in several states and is forming governments elsewhere. In contrast, AAP faces humiliating defeats, often forfeiting deposits in polls.’
Turning his ire towards Congress, the BJP leader described the grand old party as utterly leaderless. From Mallikarjun Kharge to Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, he claimed, the party’s collapse is inevitable. ‘Congress has shamed the nation,’ Chandoliya fumed, pointing to Youth Congress activists’ disruptive protests during the AI Summit that tarnished India’s global image. ‘The country will never forgive such antics.’
On opposition queries regarding India’s stance amid Middle East tensions, Chandoliya defended PM Modi’s peace advocacy. ‘Modi never wants conflicts; he promotes dialogue and has spread messages of global harmony. No party has the right to publicly question national policy. If advice is needed, it should be given privately to the PM.’
Dismissing AAP’s Jantar Mantar rally slogans hailing Kejriwal as ‘kattar imandar’ (staunchly honest), Chandoliya recalled the scrapped liquor policy. ‘AAP crafted it, BJP protested, and Kejriwal’s government hastily reversed it. That proved his corruption long ago. There’s no victory here – just exposure of deceit.’
As political rivalries intensify ahead of key elections, Chandoliya’s remarks underscore BJP’s confidence in its expanding footprint while portraying opposition forces as fragmented and fading.
