    Senior Hurriyat leader Abdul Ghani Bhat has passed away at the age of 90. The former chairman of the Hurriyat Conference died at his home in Sopore. His death has been met with expressions of sadness from prominent political figures, including former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti.

    Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed his condolences, stating that although their political ideologies differed, he would always remember Bhat as a very decent and good person. He also noted that Bhat had shown courage by opting for dialogue when many believed violence was the only solution.
