In a major relief for thousands of aspiring civil servants in Jharkhand, Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced an extension of the maximum age limit by four years for the 14th Combined Civil Services Examination conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC). The declaration came during the fourth day of the ongoing budget session in the state assembly. Originally, the age calculation cutoff was set for August 1, 2026, but the new cutoff date has been shifted back to August 2022. This adjustment provides candidates with additional years to apply, addressing grievances regarding irregular exam schedules.
