A man in the Podaiyahat area of Godda district, Jharkhand, murdered his wife, Lalita Devi, before attacking his in-laws and taking his own life. The victim’s husband, Rajendra Pandit, first slit the throat of his wife, then attacked his father-in-law, Ramdev Pandit, and his wife with a knife when they tried to intervene. Following the attacks, Rajendra Pandit was found hanged from a tree. The couple had been married for six years and had two children. The police are investigating the case. The father-in-law said that his son-in-law was drunk during the incident.
