    A devastating road accident occurred in the Jagannathpur police station area of West Singhbhum on Tuesday morning, claiming the life of Ashish Laguri, a 30-year-old man riding a motorcycle. The fatal collision with an unknown vehicle took place on the main road close to Jaldihha village. Ashish Laguri’s father, Sudarshan Laguri, resides in Sabil Tola Utubasud, Noamundi.

    In response to the tragic loss, local villagers expressed their anger and frustration by blocking the road, demanding accountability. The situation was managed by the Jagannathpur police team, headed by Station in-charge Avinash Hembrum, who arrived promptly and engaged with the protestors to resolve the roadblock. The police have secured the deceased’s body for further examination.

    The investigation into the hit-and-run is ongoing, with a focus on identifying the vehicle and driver involved. Police are filing a case against the unidentified perpetrator and are examining CCTV footage from the vicinity to gather crucial evidence for legal proceedings.
