Ranchi – The body of yoga instructor Raja Kumar Verma, a resident of Kalash Nagar, was flown back to India on Saturday after a fatal road accident in Vietnam. Chief Minister Hemant Soren personally intervened, directing the State Migrant Control Cell to liaise with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Hanoi. The remains were transferred from Hanoi to Kolkata airport and are now on their way to the family’s ancestral home in Ranchi.
The swift action involved continuous coordination between state officials, the foreign ministry and Vietnamese authorities. All required clearances were secured, ensuring the body reached Indian soil without delay.
Family members are expected to receive the remains late night, after formalities at the airport are completed.
