Koderma district is grappling with a food poisoning incident that has incapacitated five members of a local family. The outbreak occurred in Behradih village, Domchanch block, following the consumption of rice and litti. The family experienced a sudden onset of severe diarrhea and other discomforts soon after their meal.

After initial self-care measures failed to bring relief, the family sought help from a local medical practitioner. The prescribed treatment did not yield any improvement, and as their health deteriorated, they were transported to Koderma Sadar Hospital. Medical professionals are currently providing comprehensive care. All patients are reported to be stable and are receiving the necessary medical attention for food poisoning, as confirmed by the hospital’s medical team.

The affected individuals are Kanchan Devi (40), her daughters Sweety Kumari (13), Roshni Kumari (16), Reena Kumari (18), and her son Asmit Rajvansh (9).
