Two including a Naxalite commander arrested in Jharkhand’s Khunti

Ranchi. Police of Khunti district of Jharkhand have arrested area commander of banned Naxalite organization PLFI (People’s Liberation Front of India) Andreas Kandulna alias Toofan and his associate Nimus Kandir. On their information, police have recovered many items besides weapons from Harta forest. These include a country-made pistol, 388 bullets of 5.56 mm, 15 bullets of 315 mm and four bullets of 7.65 mm, 7 mobiles, a bike and five pamphlets of PLFI. Khunti SP Aman Kumar told in a press conference on Friday that both Naxalites were reported to be active in the area and threatening to collect levy (extortion) from some contractors.

On this, SIT was formed under the leadership of SDPO of Torpa. This team arrested both of them while they were going on a bike in Garhsidam forest area of ​​Rania block. Andreas Kandulna alias Toofan is a resident of Olmokod village of Gudri police station area of ​​Chaibasa district, while his associate Nimus Kandeer is a resident of Ganjna Juratoli of Bandgaon police station area of ​​Chaibasa. Cases are registered against Toofan in Bandgaon and Tebo police stations of Chaibasa.
