Deoghar, Jharkhand, witnessed a tragic accident on Tuesday morning when a bus carrying Kanwariyas was involved in a head-on collision with a truck. The crash, which occurred in the Mohanpur police station area, resulted in the deaths of five devotees and left many more injured. The bus, transporting pilgrims who had completed their worship at the Baba Baidyanath Dham, was en route to the Basukinath Temple. The accident happened when the bus collided with a truck carrying LPG cylinders. The force of the impact was devastating, causing extensive damage to both vehicles. Local officials confirmed the fatalities and initiated rescue operations to assist the injured. The cause of the accident is suspected to be driver fatigue. The accident has been deeply mourned, with Jharkhand’s Chief Minister Hemant Soren expressing his condolences.
