Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, has been deluged by continuous rain for nearly a day, causing widespread flooding. Roads and several neighborhoods in Ranchi are completely submerged due to the downpour. The severity of water accumulation on the roads has transformed them into aquatic environments. The persistent rain has significantly impacted daily activities, causing disruptions in essential services. People living in affected areas are forced to wade through water.

The meteorological department anticipates that this weather pattern will remain for the next four to five days. The weather department in Ranchi has predicted heavy rainfall across the state for the next four to five days. A yellow alert has been issued for 18 districts and an orange alert for six districts. The authorities have advised people to be vigilant during thunderstorms and potential lightning strikes.
