Authorities in West Singhbhum have apprehended three individuals suspected of murdering para teacher Mukru Devgam. The arrests mark a significant development in the investigation. The suspects are identified as Soma Sundi, 25, Seenu Gaur, 20, and Mangal Karova, 20. The victim, 50-year-old Mukru Devgam from Purna Chaibasa, was reportedly killed on November 29th near Purnapani Bazaar Tod in the Tonto police jurisdiction. Reports indicate that a dispute over ‘handiya’ consumption led to a fatal assault. Devgam was attacked with stones and sticks by the accused, who subsequently fled the scene. A specialized police unit, formed at the behest of the Superintendent of Police and headed by Jagannathpur Sub-Divisional Police Officer Raifal Murmu, conducted a swift investigation. Leveraging technological resources, the police successfully arrested all three perpetrators from Kenjra village on November 30th. The accused have reportedly admitted their guilt during initial interrogations. Authorities have also seized crucial evidence, including a blood-stained stone, a wooden club, and the attire worn by the suspects during the crime.
