On this occasion, CM Hemant Soren said that today especially Jalsahiya Didis of Drinking Water and Sanitation Department are present in this program. Our government has worked to solve the problems of Jalsahiya Didis. The previous governments had worked to deprive Jalsahiya Didis of their rights. The Chief Minister said that our government is giving their rights and authority to the common citizens and various organs of the government to stand with them. The state government is paying full attention to the problems of Jalsahiya Didis. Our government is working to solve each and every problem. Our government has increased the honorarium of Jalsahiya Didis working at the village level to Rs 2,000 per month. The Chief Minister said that our government has tried to draw a long line in the direction of overall development with a special action plan for the elderly, women, young men and women of the state and girls studying in schools. Chief Minister Hemant Soren said these things today in his address at the “State Level Jalsahiya Capacity Building-cum-Sanitation Hi Seva” program organized by the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department at Prabhat Tara Ground in Dhurwa, Ranchi.

Jalsahiyas play an important role in taking the schemes to every home.

The Chief Minister said that at present, through all you Jalsahiya Didis, many ambitious schemes of the state government reach every village and every house. The Chief Minister said that you remember the day when all your Jalsahiya didis were appointed during my short tenure in the previous government when I was a minister. No one can understand your problems better than me. Today there is a government in the state based on the hopes and aspirations of all of you. Certainly our government has been successful in fulfilling many of your expectations. The Chief Minister said that our aim is to make all you sisters and sisters a powerful link again. Our government is a sensitive government. Our government is purely the government of the original inhabitants and tribals of this state. I had said it earlier also and I am saying it even today that our government is not run from the Ranchi headquarters but is run from the villages. This is why your voices reach my ears.

Providing clean drinking water is the priority of the state government.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that today it is a big challenge to provide clean water to every village and every person. People will not fall ill only if they get clean water. If all of us together succeed in providing clean water to every village, then the people of the villages will become strong just as our ancestors were strong. It is the responsibility of all of us to provide clean drinking water up to the rural level. The Chief Minister said that many action plans have been prepared at the departmental level. The work of providing pure water through tanks, boring and pipelines is being done by the state government. Complaints are being received at many places that contractors are committing irregularities, Jalsahiya Didis will be given the responsibility to keep an eye on this and guard it. This work will be firmly in your hands. Now, if you file a complaint against the contractor who commits irregularities, the state government will take immediate action on it. Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren said that today the state government has taken the entire responsibility of AAP Jalsahiya Didis. I also hope that you will also play an important role in changing the direction and condition of Jharkhand by working step by step with the state government.

In the last 4 years, Rs 12 thousand crore funds were provided to the women self-help groups of the state.

The Chief Minister said that in different ways our government has made action plans for women self-help groups to stand on their own feet and make them self-reliant. Continuous efforts have been made to connect the sisters of women self-help groups in the state with maximum employment. The Chief Minister said that in the last 19 years, only Rs 600 to 700 crore funds were provided to the women of self-help groups by the previous governments. In the last 4 years, our government has provided a fund of Rs 12 thousand crore for the all-round development of women self-help groups. The Chief Minister said that only when the village becomes strong the state will become strong. The country can become strong only when the state is strong. The Chief Minister said that today many people talk about strengthening the country, but the condition of the villages is worse, how can the country be strong in such a situation. Even today, 80 crore people in this country are dependent on the food grains provided by the government. There is a need to change this situation only then the dream of developed India can be fulfilled.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren distributed check format for mobile purchase and distributed citation among Jalsahiyas, Mukhiyas and SHGs for their excellent work in the field of drinking water and sanitation.
