Ranchi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team took major action in Ranchi on Monday morning. In the case of arrested engineer Virendra Ram, the ED team has recovered Rs 25 crore cash from the house of the domestic servant of Sanjeev Lal, personal secretary of Jharkhand Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam. It is noteworthy that ED had arrested Virendra Ram, Chief Engineer of Jharkhand Rural Development Department, in February 2023 in a money laundering case related to alleged irregularities in the implementation of some schemes.
ED raids a total of nine locations including Cell City. ED team is raiding a total of nine locations including Cell City in Ranchi. On Monday morning, the ED team is searching the whereabouts of Road Construction Department Engineer Vikas Kumar in Sail City. Whereas the second team of ED is conducting raids in Bariatu, Morhabadi and Bodia areas. The ED team is taking this action regarding the case related to jailed engineer Virendra Ram. According to the information, some politicians and officials are among those whose places are being raided by ED.
