Tragedy struck in the Kashidih area of Sakchi, East Singhbhum, as Karan Ram, a 23-year-old man, committed suicide by hanging himself in his rented room on Sunday night. Karan, originally from Nainital, Uttarakhand, was reportedly living alone and had no local family support. The prevailing suspicion is that a conflict stemming from a romantic involvement with a 14-year-old girl escalated, leading him to take his own life.

The incident came to light on Monday morning. The landlord, concerned by the persistent silence from Karan’s room and the locked door, alerted the Sakchi police station. Authorities arrived at the scene and gained access to the room by breaking down the door, where they found Karan’s body.

Following standard procedure, the deceased was transferred to MGM Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Police officials have stated that information gathered from individuals in the neighborhood points towards the existence of the relationship and a potential dispute. The investigation is actively underway to uncover the full circumstances of this unfortunate suicide. Further details are expected as the inquiry progresses.
