RANCHI: In a spectacular display of faith and fervor, the Tilakotsav of Pahari Baba unfolded with great pomp on the auspicious occasion of Vasant Panchami. Organized by the Sri Shiv Barat Ayojan Mahasamiti, Pahari Temple, and Aryapuri Shiv Panch Mandir along with the Himalaya family, the event drew thousands of devotees who marched in a vibrant procession amid resounding beats of drums and traditional instruments.
The procession commenced from Aryapuri Shiv Panch Mandir, winding its way through the streets of Ranchi before culminating at the sacred Pahari Temple. Men and women in colorful traditional attire led the way, carrying baskets adorned with fruits, flowers, and sweets as offerings to the deity.
Upon reaching the temple, the devotees were warmly welcomed at the main entrance. Following ancient Sanatan rituals, the sacred tilak ceremony was performed with utmost reverence. Prasad was then distributed among the gathered faithful, marking the climax of this spiritual extravaganza.
The event saw participation from prominent community figures including Rajesh Sahu, Badal Singh, Rivaldo Verma, Jay Singh Yadav, and several others. Organizers highlighted the meticulous planning that went into making the procession historic, with elaborate decorations lining the entire route, robust security arrangements, ample drinking water stations, and sufficient prasad distribution points.
Volunteers and temple associates like Prem Sahu, Priest Nandkishore Pathak, Nitesh Pathak, and a host of Shiva devotees including Sandeep Jain, Shiv Prasad Gupta, and many more played pivotal roles in ensuring the seamless execution of the program.
This annual Tilakotsav not only strengthens communal bonds but also reaffirms the deep-rooted devotion to Pahari Baba among Ranchi’s residents. As the echoes of the celebrations fade, the spirit of unity and piety continues to inspire the community.
