A police station in Ranchi became the scene of a violent clash after a Munshi attacked an ASI, escalating the situation into a major dispute. The incident, involving ASI Sudin Ravidas and Munshi Uday Shankar Yadav at Dhurva Police Station, was sparked by the release of six individuals detained on charges of theft and snatching. According to reports, the ASI questioned the Munshi about the unauthorized release. The ASI was subsequently assaulted by the Munshi. The matter was brought to the attention of the SSP. The original arrests were made in connection with the annual Rath Mela held in the Dhurva area, with 12 suspects initially taken into custody. After the ASI left duty, the Munshi released six of the suspects without proper authorization, resulting in the subsequent altercation.
