Ranchi Police Intercepts Criminal Duo, Sohail Khan and Girlfriend, Seizes Weapons and Cash

In a significant operation, Ranchi police arrested Sohail Khan and his girlfriend, Nandini Samant, in the Chanho police station area, thwarting their plans to commit a major crime. Acting on a tip-off, law enforcement officers established a checkpoint near Sos Chowk. During a search of a luxury car, they discovered a loaded pistol, ammunition, and ₹80,000 in cash. Investigations revealed that the couple was planning a serious criminal act. Sohail Khan, with a criminal record including 12 registered cases spanning theft, extortion, and drug-related charges, hails from Garhwa, Jharkhand. His partner, Nandini Samant, is a resident of Dholpur, Rajasthan. In addition to the car, police seized a loaded pistol, a magazine filled with bullets, eight live rounds, 80,000 rupees in cash, gold rings, two mobile phones and two ATM cards.
